Marsh has appointed Damian Schinck as President of its Pacific business, effective September 2nd 2025, overseeing operations in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Papua New Guinea, the global broker announced in a media release on Tuesday.
Based in Melbourne, he reports to David Bryant, CEO of Marsh McLennan Pacific, and succeeds Josh Roach, who has left the firm. Schinck will be responsible for Marsh’s client portfolio across the region and driving its growth strategy.
Schinck joined Marsh in 2019 and was most recently Head of Risk Management for the Pacific division. He brings more than 20 years of industry experience, including senior roles at Aon Risk Solutions and JLT Australia.
Bryant said the appointment strengthens Marsh Pacific’s ability to support clients in managing complex risks, noting that Schinck has leveraged his insurance and risk expertise to advise some of the region’s largest businesses.
Schinck’s appointment follows other recent leadership changes at Marsh in Asia, including Jason Mandera as President Director for Marsh Indonesia and Ben MacCarthy returning as Insurer Consulting Group Leader for Asia, both in July 2025.
