Miller has hired Konatsu Watanabe as Broker for its Singapore-based Property & Casualty team.
Watanabe joins the specialty (re)insurance broker from UIB Asia Reinsurance Brokers, where she was Associate Director.
In her new role, her primary focus will be to develop JIA business in the Southeast Asia region, according to Miller. She will also handle Japanese facultative accounts while supporting some areas of the Casualty business.
“With over 8 years of experience in the insurance industry, Konatsu brings valuable experience in areas such as facultative placements with a particular focus on Japanese business across Asia,” Miller said in its announcement on LinkedIn. She also has experience handling corporate employee benefit programmes and holds several accolades from the Singapore College of Insurance, the business added.
Before joining Miller, Watanabe was with UIB for eighteen months and, prior, spent three and a half years with Tokio Marine in Singapore. She also served with Sompo Japan as a Sales Executive between April 2016 and November 2019, according to LinkedIn.
