Oneglobal Broking has appointed Maxence Servelle as head of cargo, the broker announced on Thursday.
Based in Singapore, Servelle joins Oneglobal after over five years with Diot-Siaci Asia, where he most recently served as head of marine cargo, senior manager for property and casualty and specialty lines. He also worked at Helvetia Assurances Suisse and began his career at Siaci Saint Honoré in Paris.
Servelle brings over 14 years of international insurance experience, specialising in marine cargo, freight forwarders’ liability, specie and risk management, with a focus on the commodities sector and global supply chains. His experience includes designing insurance and risk transfer solutions and managing complex multinational programmes for commodity traders and corporations across Europe and Asia.
In the new role, Servelle will work closely with Fabien Goutoulli, Oneglobal’s recently appointed chief executive officer (CEO) for Singapore, under the regional leadership of Asia CEO Sirikit Oh.
In a LinkedIn announcement, the broker said, “Maxence will play a key role in strengthening and expanding our Cargo practice, developing strategic client relationships, and leveraging Oneglobal’s international network to deliver tailored insurance solutions”.
His appointment follows Oneglobal’s continued efforts to strengthen its marine and specialty lines capabilities across Asia and grow its specialty insurance business in the region.
Earlier this year, the broker appointed Shirlene Fernz as director of claims and advisory and Geovenn Lim as director for marine.
