Prudential plc has appointed Jai Pawani as its new Chief Operations Officer (COO), effective as of 27 November.
In his new role, Hong Kong-based Pawani role will be responsible for operations performance, strategy and transformation across markets in Asia and Africa, the insurer said in its announcement.
Pawani brings nearly thirty years of experience to the role and joins from HSBC, a business he served since 1998, according to LinkedIn.
During his tenure at HSBC, he held several high-profile positions, most including Chief Operating Officer for HSBC’s operations in Vietnam, Taiwan and India. In 2021, he entered the insurance industry and joined HSBC Insurance, Hong Kong & Macao, as Chief Operating Officer.
