QBE Insurance Group today announced the appointment of Rob Kosova as Chief Executive Officer of QBE Asia effective 1 April, pending regulatory approval.

Kosova will relocate from Australia to Singapore for his new position, where he will report to Jason Harris, CEO of QBE International. He takes over from Jason Hammond, who announced his intention to return to Australia last year.

Since joining QBE in 2018, Kosova has held senior roles, most recently as General Manager for Commercial in Australia, and his responsibilities have covered a wide range of product lines, including workers’ compensation, property, marine, and commercial motor.

Prior, Kosova has amassed extensive industry experience, having held roles in the insurance, broker, and customer sides of the industry.

Harris expressed enthusiasm for Kosova’s new role, commenting, “I am delighted to welcome Rob to the Asia leadership team. It’s an exciting time for our business as we look to expand in the region and continue to enhance our service offering with a constant focus on delivering customer satisfaction. Rob’s experience and passion will be a great addition to the team, and I look forward to working with him.”
