Rachel Miao has been named as Aon’s new Regional Director Marine, Cargo & Logistics for its Asia Operations, Stephen Rudman, the company’s Head of Marine for the Asian region, announced on LinkedIn.

Miao is returning to the Aon group from Starr Insurance China, where she worked for over five years, most recently as Head of Marine.

“We are delighted to share that Rachel Miao has joined our regional marine team in Asia,” Rudman said on her appointment.

In her previous positions, Miao managed major accounts in the cargo sector across a range of commodities. Her specialisation includes Marine cargo, STP accounts and Project Cargo involving various projects like thermal power stations and wind farms, Rudman added.

This is not Miao’s first time working for the Aon Group. In 2015, she started working for Shanghai-based Aon-COFCO Insurance Brokers as a Senior Account Manager for over a year. She then moved to Willis Insurance Brokers as Associate Director, where she worked for over two years before joining Starr Insurance.
