Sompo Asia Pacific (Sompo APAC) has confirmed five senior appointments to its APAC commercial team in the first quarter of 2026, strengthening underwriting depth across property, financial lines and aviation, the company announced on 14 April.
Olivia Clark joins Sompo as Head of Aviation, APAC, based in Singapore, reporting to Dave Ong, Head of Marine and Aviation. Clark brings extensive aviation underwriting experience and deep sector knowledge built across senior roles at global insurers in both London and Singapore.
Sompo has also confirmed the appointment of Francis Lim, a senior addition to the financial lines business. With 24 years of financial lines and casualty underwriting experience, Lim will lead the growth of Sompo’s SME and mid-corporate financial lines portfolio in Singapore.
The remaining appointments include Bee Lin Yim, Cassie Chen, and Mai Kito across the property line. Chen, the most experienced of the property hires with over three decades of regional underwriting experience, and Yim, with close to 20 years of experience, are joining Sompo as senior underwriters. Meanwhile, Kito’s appointment as senior underwriter follows her stint at Sompo Japan.
