Swiss Re Corporate Solutions has appointed Adnan A. Bhat as vice president and global network manager for Asia Pacific, the company announced on LinkedIn.
Based in Bangalore, Bhat will assume responsibility for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions’ network partner relationships across the Asia-Pacific region following an onboarding and transition period. He will also support the development of the insurer’s International Programs offering for multinational clients.
Announcing the appointment, Daniel Schlapbach, head of IP excellence & network partners, said Bhat “will take on responsibility for our network partner relationships across the APAC region and further strengthen Swiss Re Corporate Solutions International Programs offering”.
Schlapbach said Bhat’s appointment comes at an important time for the business, as demand grows for multinational insurance solutions among Indian corporates operating across multiple markets.
Bhat joins after almost six years at Munich Re, most recently working across partnerships and digital business. Earlier in his career, he worked at Bajaj General Insurance.
The appointment follows Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, the primary insurance arm of Swiss Re, expanding its international programmes capabilities in Asia. In August, the company announced an exclusive partnership with Bajaj General Insurance in India.
