Aon has appointed Nelumi Jayasundara as senior associate in its APAC Transaction Solutions team, the broker announced on Tuesday.
Based in Hong Kong, Jayasundara joins Aon after nearly a year with Odoo, where she was most recently a key account partner manager.
She previously spent nearly four years with BMS Group in Hong Kong, working across private equity, M&A and tax and gaining transactional insurance broking experience. Earlier in her career, she worked at PEI – Alternative Insight and Standard Chartered Bank.
In her new role, Jayasundara will support Aon’s warranty and indemnity (W&I) insurance and Secondaries practice across Asia Pacific.
Commenting on the appointment, Martijn de Lange, Aon APAC’s managing director for transaction solutions, said Jayasundara “gained extensive experience structuring and placing W&I insurance solutions, while also developing unique Secondaries expertise through arranging insurance solutions for several landmark GP-led secondaries.”
Jayasundara is the latest addition to Aon’s transaction solutions bench in Asia. The broker in June appointed Jessie Shi as associate director in Shanghai, and in July brought back Ee Yen Lin as regional director for Asia. Earlier this year, the broker also promoted Anita Vivekananda to managing director of transaction solutions, APAC.
The latest hire follows Aon’s launch of Sidecar X, which carries US$200m of transactional risk capacity.
In its 2026 Global Transaction Solutions Claims Study, the broker said India, South Korea and Southeast Asia would drive the next phase of APAC transaction risk growth, with large and cross-border deals lifting demand for W&I and tax liability cover.
