Swiss Re has appointed Devpriya Misra as the head of the newly established credit and surety hub for Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Africa, according to a LinkedIn post by Kay Scholz on Thursday.
Misra has been with the company since 2009 and was most recently a director. He has nearly two decades of experience across Asia-Pacific and North America, and has held a number of global and senior leadership roles within Swiss Re.
Based in Singapore for his new role, he leads the strategy, underwriting, and client development of the business across the region.
Misra’s appointment was announced alongside those of Carolina DiGiacomo as head for Americas including Latin America, based in Miami, and Maria Rodriguez as head for Europe from Zurich. It also follows Swiss Re’s appointment of Tamas Bown as head of its life and health reinsurance business in Asia-Pacific, excluding China, announced last month.
