Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK) has appointed Phoebe Liew as Special Risks Underwriter as it continues to strengthen its APAC offering, the business announced on LinkedIn on Tuesday.

Liew brings nearly a decade of credit and political risk experience to her new role. She joins from Texel in Singapore where she served most recently as Credit and Political Risk Director.

In her new position, Liew will work within TMK’s Special Risks team across the Asia Pacific region, applying her background in credit and political risk underwriting to support the company’s regional portfolio growth.

“We’re excited to welcome Phoebe to our Special Risks team. Her extensive experience across credit and political risk, combined with her deep understanding of trade finance, makes her an excellent addition as we continue to grow our portfolio,” said Ignatia Cindy Gunawan, Head of Special Risks, Asia Pacific at TMK.

The appointment continues TMK’s strategic expansion in the region, following the February hiring of Jack Skinner as Head of Political Violence & Terrorism for Asia Pacific.
