Willis, a WTW business, has appointed Will Sare as head of corporate (property & casualty) for Australia, effective immediately, the broker announced on Monday.
Sare has been with the business since 2025, first joining as head of sales for the Pacific. He brings experience across insurance broking, corporate risk management and consulting in Australian and international markets.
Previously, he served as a managing director at Marsh in Chicago. He also held senior roles across Aon, Cushman & Wakefield, DTZ, UGL and Deloitte Australia.
James Baum, head of Pacific at Willis, said, “Will brings extensive industry experience, proven leadership and a deep understanding of our business.
“His detail-oriented approach is matched by his understanding of how our specialist expertise, analytical capabilities, proactive claims management and client service model work together.”
Following Sare’s appointment, Stephen Trickey, who returned to the firm in January, will take on an expanded role supporting sales activity across the Pacific while continuing as head of growth for the Pacific at Willis.
The move follows several other senior appointments across Willis. Willis Re appointed Neil Eckert as chief executive officer, while Willis named Rupert Roberts as chief commercial officer for Asia. Oliver Pryce is set to succeed Roberts as head of corporate risk & broking for Southeast Asia.
The broker also moved Trevor Madden from Dublin to Singapore to lead its captive practice across Asia Pacific.
