Anant Pawar has moved to Willis as Aviation and Space Leader for India, the company announced on Tuesday (April 22).

He joins after serving for nearly two decades at Aon Risk Insurance Brokers India, formerly Global Insurance Brokers Private.

“With over 27 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry, Anant brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Willis,” said Vivek Nath, Head of India, WTW. “His extensive experience and proven track record in the aviation and space sector will be invaluable as we continue to develop a specialisation-based value proposition in India.”

Pawar’s background includes leadership in Aviation & Space, reinsurance, and liability and he has led key projects in India, including the creation of an Aviation Consortium and the obtaining of a Lloyd’s license, Willis said in its announcement.

“Anant’s leadership will be essential in shaping our go-to-market strategy and strengthening our relationships within the insurance and reinsurance industry,” added John Rooley, CEO, Global Aviation & Space, at Willis.
