Aon has appointed Joe Gardner as Broking Leader, Crisis Management – Asia, according to a LinkedIn post by Joe Pipe, the broker’s Head of Commercial Risk for Asia, on Friday.
Gardner first joined Aon in 2023 after six years with WTW. “Joe brings extensive experience across crisis management product lines, with a particular depth of expertise in political violence and terrorism risks,” Pipe said, adding that Gardner has considerable regional experience, having worked with clients across North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific during his career.
In his new role Gardner will lead Aon’s broking strategy for crisis management lines across Asia to “drive innovative solutions to support clients navigating today’s volatile geopolitical and security landscape.”
Gardner’s promotion follows a series of senior appointments by Aon in the APAC region over the last month, including Simon Chisholm as Asia Reinsurance Solutions Chairman, and Wee Teck Tea’s promotion as Head of Commercial Risk Solutions in Singapore.
