Aon has appointed Ben Jones as its new chief operating officer for Asia-Pacific effective 8 December, the global broker announced in a LinkedIn statement on Monday.
Jones joins Aon after five years at Manulife, where he served as chief transformation and operations officer.
He previously served the Allianz Group, across two stints, including more recently as country chief transformation officer for Thailand’s Allianz Ayudhya and, prior to that, as regional head of operations for APAC.
Jones’s earlier roles also include a brief engagement with IAG and five years at AIG, as well as his earlier stint at Allianz, where he worked across Australia and Germany.
In its post, Aon described Jones as having “deep expertise in operational leadership and transformation,” adding that he is “ready to bring fresh ideas and innovative solutions to help our clients make better decisions.”
The move comes following a series of key appointments by the business recently: Jason Disborough’s designation as chief commercial officer for Pacific, Vincent Shih as head of treaty reinsurance in Taiwan, and Joe Gardner as broking leader – crisis management for Asia — all within the last month.
