HDI Global Australia has designated Jules Szoke as property underwriter, the business announced on LinkedIn on Wednesday.
Based in Melbourne, Szoke joins HDI Australia’s Southern Region Property team from CGU Insurance, where he was most recently property ISR underwriter.
He brings more than 15 years of industry experience across a range of underwriting and broking roles, with previous stints at AIG, Trident Insurance Group, Lumley Insurance, Aon, and JLT Australia.
“We’re excited to have Jules on board and look forward to seeing the contributions he will make to our team,” said Stephanie MacIntyre, property underwriting manager, Victoria.
Szoke’s move follows at least two other appointments made by HDI across Asia Pacific announced this month: Hiro Yamasaki as managing director for Japan, and Kenneth Law taking on the role of property underwriting manager for North Asia, succeeding Eric Fung, who was set to retire after more than 10 years of service.
