MS Amlin has named Andrew Fish as head of exposure management, according to an announcement from the Lloyd’s underwriter on Monday.
Fish joins the company from Aon, where he had served as head of Global Re Speciality (GRS) catastrophe management for the past four years. His career also includes a tenure as head of catastrophe pricing and analytics at QIC Global Services, as well as an earlier stint at Aon focused on the origination and structuring of insurance-linked securities.
In his new role, Fish will manage 35 employees in the exposure management division and will be tasked with refining risk management and pricing strategies through advanced analytics. He will oversee the impact assessment of emerging risks, including climate change, cyber threats, and geopolitical shifts.
“We’re delighted to welcome Andrew to MS Amlin as head of exposure management,” said Martin Burke, chief underwriting officer of MS Amlin. “With the world facing increasingly dynamic challenges, from climate to cyber, his leadership will elevate our ability to combine analytics with insight and build long-term client relationships.”
The global appointment follows a series of strategic additions to the firm’s underwriting bench in Asia Pacific. In early 2026, Amirul Ashraf joined as a reinsurance underwriter in Singapore, following the 2025 hires of Darren Toh and Yosuke Yasuda. Additionally, Matt Botfield was named head of Australia and New Zealand to lead the group’s new Sydney office in early 2025.
These hires also come after MS Amlin in January confirmed it had grown its Phoenix Re catastrophe bond to a record US$115 million, marking its largest issuance to date.
