Howden Asia has appointed Cheryl Yi Min Poon as director in its multinational client practice in Singapore, according to a LinkedIn post by chief client officer Hamish Ravindran.

Poon returns to Singapore for the role after working at Marsh Asia in Hong Kong for over a decade, where she most recently served as vice president. Earlier in her career, she also worked at Chubb in Singapore as a multinational servicing unit executive.

“Cheryl brings over a decade of multinational experience in Hong Kong, partnering with large, complex organizations to manage cross-border programs and global insurance structures. She is technically strong, commercially sharp, and deeply client-focused,” Ravindran said in his announcement.

The appointment comes as Howden continues to add senior talent, including recent hires, to expand its transactional risk and M&A capabilities in the region. Those additions include Xianwei Lee as head of M&A, Asia, along with Adrian Chai and Blossom Lim as senior directors for M&A, Asia—all recruited from Aon’s transaction lines teams.

Stay ahead on the region’s key appointments.
