The General Insurance Association of Singapore (GIA) has announced its newly elected Management Committee for the 2026–2028 term, with Scott Spaven, Chief Executive Officer of AIG Asia Pacific Insurance, named as President, the association announced on LinkedIn on 25 March.
Spaven takes the helm of the industry body alongside Andrew Yeo, Chief Executive Officer of Income Insurance Limited, who has been elected Vice-President. Alex Tarantino, Managing Director of HDI Global SE Singapore, will serve as Honorary Secretary, while Mack Eng, Chief Executive Officer of MSIG Singapore, takes on the role of Honorary Treasurer.
The Management Committee is completed by five members: Hicham Raissi, Chief Executive Officer of Allianz Insurance Singapore; Keng Hong Lim, Interim Head of General Insurance at Great Eastern General Insurance Limited; Nalini Venugopal, Chief Executive Officer of India International Insurance Singapore; Nicole Lim, Chief Executive Officer of Liberty Specialty Markets Singapore; and Stephen Geisler, Chief Executive Officer of QBE Insurance Singapore.
The GIA represents the general insurance industry in Singapore and works with regulators, government agencies, and industry stakeholders to develop the sector.
