Aon has named Shiney Prasad as the new head of its Global Capacity Centres, the company announced on LinkedIn on Friday.
Prasad brings 35 years of industry experience, most recently serving as country head for India at Guardian Life. He has also held senior leadership roles at Ernst & Young, Sun Life, and AIG across Asia, including Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, and the Philippines; and various financial services companies.
“Our Global Capability Centers are strategic enablers of the firm, strengthening how we deliver work by connecting talent, analytics, and expertise globally,” Aon said in a statement. “In this role, Shiney’s leadership will advance our ability to scale innovation and deliver more integrated outcomes for clients — in line with our Aon United strategy.”
Prasad’s move comes amid the broker’s several high-level appointments recently — including Anita Vivekananda’s promotion to managing director of transaction solutions for APAC, George Attard becoming global head of analytics for reinsurance solutions, Markus Poh joining as transaction solutions director for Asia, Quinton Kotze becoming head of cyber solutions in Australia, and Helmi Yusoff as head of emerging markets growth and advisory for Southeast Asia at Aon Human Capital Solutions — as competition for transactional risk expertise in Asia intensifies. This talent war is epitomised by Howden’s recent recruitment of 12 M&A specialists, many coming from Aon, to expand its presence across Singapore, Greater China, and Japan.
