Aon has promoted Nick Chapman to an expanded regional role as marine risk engineering lead for Asia, Stephen Rudman, Aon’s Asia marine head, announced on LinkedIn on Wednesday.
Chapman has been with the business in the region for over two years since his move to Singapore from AIG in London in December 2023. In addition to his new remit, he will maintain his existing responsibilities as head of cargo for the region.
Rudman said the change would help clients better understand, manage, and mitigate risks across their operations. “This is an important step in broadening our value proposition for clients by moving beyond placement and advisory into risk engineering as a value-added service,” he added.
Chapman’s new role comes with Rudman announcing earlier today that Aon had appointed Marsh’s Nazirah Din Taouk as regional director for marine.
The moves come amid a series of key Asia-Pacific appointments by the global broker in 2026, including Anita Vivekananda’s promotion to MD of transaction solutions, Quinton Kotze as its head of cyber for Australia, Darren Oliver as APAC head of market development for health solutions, and Karl Hamann as chief executive for the Philippines.
