Rokstone has named Jackie Lan as underwriter for its Singapore marine team, the specialty (re)insurance MGA announced on Thursday.

Singapore-based Lan joins following 11 years with QBE, where she most recently served as senior hull underwriter.

Lan also brings 15 years of experience in the marine insurance sector, with over a decade focused on marine hull and liability insurance, having worked across Asia and the Middle East. A former member of the IUMI Committee, she is involved in industry initiatives, including sustainability-focused maritime projects and collaborations on risks such as digitalisation and cyber exposures.

“Jackie’s a fantastic addition to the team as we rapidly scale up our portfolio of marine solutions,” said Rama Chandran, managing director and head of marine APAC at Rokstone, who joined the business—also from QBE—last June to lead the MGA’s APAC marine push.

Rokstone launched Singapore’s first official marine MGA in June 2025, backed by a multi-year US$25m in Lloyd’s capacity from Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK). The MGA says it aims to reach US$50m in gross written premium within five years.
