SALT Marine Risks appoints Chris Dent as marine manager

He joins after over five years with QBE Insurance.

SALT Marine Risks has appointed Chris Dent as marine manager, effective 28 July, the company announced on Tuesday.

Based in Sydney, Dent joins the Australian managing general agent after over five years with QBE Insurance, where he most recently served as underwriting manager for the Northern Region.

Before joining QBE in 2021, Dent held senior roles with specialist transport and logistics insurer TT Club.

Chris brings more than 20 years of marine insurance experience, with deep expertise across marine liability, commercial hull and cargo,” SALT said in its announcement.
