Allianz Commercial Japan has appointed Masahide Naito as head of property, company president Brian Jinzenji announced on Monday.

Naito joins from AIG General Insurance, where he has worked for over four years, most recently as head of commercial property, Japan. He brings extensive industry experience, having also worked for Sompo for around 11 years.

“Masahide brings extensive experience in property underwriting and has a strong track record of building property business in the Japanese Corporate segment. His addition will further strengthen our value proposition to clients and distribution partners and will elevate our Property presence to new heights in the market,” Jinzenji said in his announcement.

Naito’s appointment follows several major leadership changes at Allianz Commercial this year, including in Japan, with Casey Sandler named head of distribution management and Yoshio Motohashi as senior underwriter and general manager for liability.
