BHSI hire Louis Bidmead as Head of Transactional Liability Insurance for Asia and Middle East

Bidmead joins from AIG and the appointment aligns with BHSI's strategy to strengthen its transactional liability portfolio in the regions.

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has appointed Louis Bidmead as Head of Transactional Liability Insurance for Asia and the Middle East.

Bidmead is based in Singapore and will report to Scotland Walsh-Riddle, Head of Executive & Professional Liability for Asia.

Bidmead joins BHSI with significant experience, he joins from AIG where he worked for seven years as a senior warranty & indemnity underwriter. Prior to that, he has seven years of experience in legal and corporate advisory roles at major law firms.

He will work with BHSI’s global transactional liability team to offer a comprehensive set of coverages to mitigate the risks associated with mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.

On the appointment, Walsh-Riddle said, “Louis has extensive knowledge of the intricacies of M&A transactions, and I am excited to have him leading our team as we deliver tailored and timely solutions for customers.”

Walsh-Riddle also noted the hire was aligned with BHSI’s strategy to broaden its transactional liability portfolio in Asia and the Middle East.
