Berjaya Sompo Insurance Berhad has appointed Sheyna Marie Janz as head of liability, the Malaysian insurer announced on Thursday.
Janz joins from AIG Malaysia, where she worked for nearly nine years, most recently as head of underwriting for financial lines. Before AIG, she also worked at Allianz General.
She brings over 18 years of experience across the financial lines segment, covering underwriting, broking, and portfolio leadership. “At Berjaya Sompo, Sheyna will drive the liability business and strengthen our commercial portfolio”, Berjaya Sompo said on LinkedIn.
Janz’s appointment follows a series of leadership hires announced by the insurer earlier this year. In July, the insurer appointed Ying Ying Lee as head of marine and aviation and regional product leader, Tan Chuan Lye as chairman, and Michelle Siow as head of consumer insights and product strategy.
