Aon has appointed Kayo Montgomery as regional strategic account manager for Asia, Rodolphe Guillard, the broker’s head of multinational for Asia, announced on Monday.

Montgomery returns to Japan after three decades in the United States. She has been with Aon since 2009, most recently serving as senior vice president and regional director for Japan Global Solutions in Aon’s US Central region. Prior to joining Aon, she worked in commercial insurance writing for Mutual Benefit Group.

She brings over 20 years of industry experience to her new role, spanning insurance placements handling and risk management for Japanese corporations across sectors including energy, manufacturing and trading.

“She progressed her career at Aon over the years through clients’ successes and service excellence,” Guillard said in his announcement. “Kayo brings expertise in Multinational Business combined with Japanese Corporate business culture, which will be a tremendous asset in the deeply changing Japanese market.”

The appointment adds to a wider run of recent Aon moves in Asia, including Joe Liang as executive chairman of reinsurance for Greater China; Stephen as Indonesia CEO; Sean Deehan as head of strategy and technology group, APAC; and Stara Low as head of growth, health solutions in Singapore.
