Great Eastern has appointed Leah Ng to the newly created role of managing director and group head of bancassurance and partnerships, effective 5 October, the Singapore-based insurer announced on Monday.
Ng has more than two decades of experience across banking and insurance in Asia, with senior roles spanning bancassurance, wealth, business development and transformation.
She joins from Manulife Singapore, where she most recently served as chief bancassurance officer and led the insurer’s strategic partnership with DBS. Her previous roles include senior positions at HSBC Life and Swiss Life.
“Leah’s appointment reflects the importance of bancassurance and partnerships to Great Eastern’s growth. Her leadership and experience will support our efforts to strengthen our distribution capabilities and strategic partnerships across the region,” the insurer said on LinkedIn.
The appointment follows Great Eastern’s recent hiring of Hicham Raissi as managing director and group head of general and group insurance, as the insurer expands its senior leadership team across key business lines.
Great Eastern Holdings reported a 28% year-on-year increase in new business embedded value to S$405.3m (US$316m) in the first half of 2026, driven by higher sales and a more favourable product mix.
