Allianz Insurance Lanka has named Prashant Grover as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 Feb 2024. Grover will also serve as the Country Manager for Allianz Lanka, overseeing both Allianz Insurance Lanka and Allianz Life Insurance Lanka, acting as the Principal Officer of the former.
With over twenty years of experience in the Financial Services and Insurance sectors, Grover’s career has spanned various global markets, reflecting a broad and diverse expertise.
His journey with Allianz started in 2007 and he has held significant roles across Asia and Europe. His efforts have been key in leading transformation projects for Allianz’s commercial business in APAC and retail business in Thailand, as well as facilitating Allianz’s entry into the Vietnamese market.
In his most recent role as Regional Lead of Business Transformation, Grover has been at the forefront of spearheading initiatives across digital, distribution, and organisation transformation within the insurance value chain.
Grover commented on his new role and vision for Allianz Lanka: “I believe that effectively harnessing the resilience and capability within our diverse team at Allianz Lanka, as well as strength of the Allianz Group will allow us to leverage opportunities to grow our business in the Sri Lanka market.”
