SCOR on Monday announced a change to its business restructure, which is effective from April 1 and aims to make the global reinsurer “a simpler and more effective organisation.”
In a company announcement, the reinsurer said its Property & Casualty (P&C) and Life & Health (L&H) divisions would be restructured into distinct reinsurance regions to allow for more immediate client access and quicker decision-making, aligning with the company’s ambition to be the “reinsurer of tomorrow.”
The reinsurer’s P&C functions will be classified into five reinsurance regions, with Specialty lines (previously known as Reinsurance Global Lines) and the Global Clients teams all reporting to Jean-Paul Conoscente, CEO of SCOR P&C.
As part of the move, Mukul Kishore has been named as the Head of P&C for Asia Pacific.
Elsewhere around the globe, Maria Brohmi is assigned as the Head of P&C Western Europe & Middle East and Africa; Charles Bartlett will be the Head of P&C North, Central, and Eastern Europe; Nicolas Berg is named Head of P&C for North America; while Fabio Pinho has bee named as the Head of P&C Latin America.
Similarly, the Life & Health (L&H) division is undergoing a reorganisation into five key regions.
In APAC, this has been split into two roles: Chloe Wang will be Head of L&H for Fast Growth Markets and Dion Russell will take up the role of Head of L&H for Mature Markets.
Looking further afield, Redmond Murphy will be SCOR’s Head of L&H UK & Ireland, Canada, and South Africa in addition to his role as Deputy CEO for L&H; Pilar Santamaria Cases has been named as the Head of L&H for Continental Europe & Latin America; while J.C. Brueckner is the Head of L&H in the U.S.
SCOR also confirmed a series of positions that fit into the new structure. On the P&C side, Eric Jenck remains Head of Reinsurance Specialty Lines, while Guillaume Ominetti will be the Head of Global Clients, and Daniel Duesterhaus is appointed Head of P&C Underwriting Solutions.
For L&H, Bruno Latourrette has been appointed as Head of Financial Solutions and Matthew Collins will be SCOR’s Head of Global Longevity.
