Following the introduction of its Title Insurance line of business in April, DUAL Asset ANZ has recruited Ed Birrell to join the team in Sydney starting in June, the managing general agent (MGA) announced on LinkedIn.
Birrell has been a senior member of the DUAL Asset team in the UK since 2019, most recently serving as Head of UK M&A. He will relocate from the London office to Sydney, bringing his experience structuring and delivering title insurance solutions for complex corporate M&A and commercial real estate transactions to the ANZ team.
Chris Hammond, Head of Asia Pac, said Birrell has intricate product knowledge and establishes fantastic relationships with the carriers, brokers and lawyer partners he works with. “It is a huge boost to our aspirations in this region to have Ed to join us down under,” Hammond added.
