QBE has appointed Sushma Segal as Chief Transformation Officer, the company announced in a statement on LinkedIn.

Segal has been with QBE for over 11 years, serving most recently as Finance Chief Operating Officer since July 2018.

In the newly created role, Sydney-based Segal will be “focused on the development and delivery of QBE’s transformation roadmap,” the Australia-headquartered insurer said in its announcement.

“Sushma has deep enterprise expertise, which sets her up well to help bring QBE together in this important role,” the company added.

Prior to her role as Finance Chief Operating Officer, Segal was Head of Financial Control for QBE Australia & New Zealand. Before joining the company in 2012, Segal worked as a Senior Advisor at HM Revenue & Customs in the United Kingdom.
