MS First Capital Insurance has appointed Ethel Hay as Market Development Lead, effective 1 October 2026, the Singapore-headquartered insurer announced on Friday.

The insurer said the newly created role is intended to support market engagement, distribution partnerships and communication of the company’s offerings across the region.

“Reporting directly to the CEO, Ethel will work closely with teams across the company and broker engagement teams within MSIG Asia”, MS First Capital added in its announcement on LinkedIn.

MS First Capital is owned by Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance and forms part of the MSIG Asia network. Hay starts on the same day Ronak Shah joins MSIG Asia as regional CEO. Shah succeeds Clemens Philippi, who became co-chief strategy officer of parent group MS&AD in April. MS First Capital began reinsurance operations from GIFT City in India on 29 July.
