Anouk Sireude has joined AIG as Head of Ocean Marine for the Pacific region, as announced by Grant Cairns, AIG’s CEO for Australia and Head of Pacific, in a statement on LinkedIn.

Sydney-based Sireude joins AIG after eight years with Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI), where she was serving as Senior Underwriter Marine.

Her move is the insurer’s latest in a string of appointments from BHSI. In late July, AIG announced it had hired three business heads from the specialty insurer: Dimitry Zilberud as Head of Marine, APAC; Niall O’Connell as Head of Inland Marine, Pacific; and Jason Sheehan as Head of Commercial Property and Business Pack, Australia.

Commenting on Sireude’s appointment: “I am delighted to welcome Anouk Sireude to AIG as Head of Ocean Marine, Pacific. Anouk brings a wealth of marine claims and technical underwriting expertise that will be invaluable in supporting our brokers and clients.”

Speaking on AIG’s aims for the region, Cairns added, “It’s an exciting time for our marine business with plenty of opportunities and strong leadership committed to delivering our growth ambitions.”
