Qubit taps damian lynch as new chief underwriting officer of digital asset insurance

Damian Lynch will join Qubit Underwriting as its new Chief Underwriting Officer of Digital Asset Insurance, effective from 1 November, the company announced on LinkedIn. 

Lynch joins the managing general agent (MGA) from Sydney-based Fusion Specialty, where he served as Managing Partner of Fusion Financial Lines MGA for over four years. In his new role, he will reports to Qubit CEO Helen Ye. 

With expertise in financial lines and financial institutions, Lynch brings 28 years of industry experience. He previously worked for insurers in both Sydney and Singapore. He has held underwriting and senior roles in insurers such as Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty, Zurich Insurance, and Chubb Insurance.

Commenting on Lynch’s appointment, Ye said, “We are very excited to welcome Damian to our team! Digital asset insurance is complex and evolving, and we believe that his profound knowledge and experience in financial line underwriting will be a fantastic addition. Together, we can tackle the challenges in this space and create market-fit products that truly serve our clients.”
