QBE Insurance on Tuesday announced the appointment of Jamie Kelly as Group Chief Compliance Officer.

Kelly joined QBE in 2023 and had been serving as Group Head of Risk Culture and Conduct prior to his promotion.

In his new role, he joins the QBE Group Compliance team and reports to Group Chief Risk Officer Fiona Larnach.

“The enterprise knowledge gained through his recent support of Risk Culture and Conduct initiatives, combined with deep compliance expertise, sets Jamie up well for this important role,” QBE said in its announcement on LinkedIn.

Kelly brings extensive experience to the position, having served as Group Head for Legal and Compliance for Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore from 2013 to 2015, and Chief Compliance Officer for Westpac Group from 2017 to 2022.

His appointment comes after his predecessor, Ed Rainsford, was appointed to Chief Risk Officer, AUSPAC in August.
