John French has retired from Chubb as Head of Global Brokers and Colleague Development for Asia Pacific, but will remain as a part-time senior advisor until 2025, the company announced 26 May (Monday).
French served for nearly three decades at Chubb, taking up roles as Head of Global Brokers for Australia and New Zealand, Senior Vice President for Broker Distribution in Asia Pacific, and Country President for Australia and New Zealand.
As a senior advisor, French will continue supporting Chubb’s learning culture, coaching emerging talent, and facilitating the transfer of critical knowledge across the business, according to Chubb.
Throughout his 41-year career, the seasoned broking professional also worked at ACE Insurance Limited for over 16 years as Country President for Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau, as well as CEO in Thailand. ACE acquired Chubb in 2016, taking the latter’s business name.
“We look forward to celebrating Frenchy’s achievements in the coming months and thanking him for his contribution to Chubb and the broader insurance industry,” Chubb said in its LinkedIn post.
