UIB Asia Reinsurance Brokers has appointed Markus Sayuti as Executive Director in the Treaty & Retro Division, effective 1 July, the business announced on LinkedIn.
Singapore-based Sayuti will be joining from Guy Carpenter, where he served as Vice President, Treaty, for over seven years. In his new role, Sayuti will work under the leadership of Francis Savari, CEO at UIB Asia.
Sayuti has over two decades of industry experience, along with extensive knowledge of Asia’s (re)insurance markets. To his new role, he brings professional expertise in broking, along with technical insurance and reinsurance.
Prior to working for Guy Carpenter, he also held senior and leadership roles for numerous notable firms, including Peak Re, Aon, and Chubb, among others.
Welcoming Sayuti to their ranks, the firm said: “Sayuti will be playing a pivotal role by working closely with our Senior Management and business leadership team to help develop the future growth and profitability of UIB Asia in the region.”
