Everest Insurance has appointed Bruno Laval as Chief Commercial Officer for its International division, reporting to Adam Clifford and Jason Keen, co-leads of Everest Insurance International.
He is based in Madrid, but will be responsible for the company’s international market and distribution strategy with an emphasis on diversifying its insurance portfolio, identifying new growth opportunities and advancing the distribution analytics and market intelligence capabilities.
Laval has over three decades of expertise and in-depth knowledge of P&C, commercial, and speciality lines. He previously held leadership roles at XL Catlin and was Chief Distribution Officer for Asia Pacific and Europe at AXA XL. His most recent role was as Partner and Advisory Board member to iMeureka.
“Bruno is a seasoned leader in property and casualty across Europe and Latin America and a strong addition to our senior team,” said Clifford. He also noted that Laval would be “instrumental to increasing our global market penetration and identifying new and meaningful ways to engage with clients as we continue to scale our business.”
Keen also expressed his positivity at the hire, “Bruno’s diverse industry experience across business development, operations and underwriting, coupled with his proven ability to increase profitable growth will be extremely valuable as we expand our offering in new local markets.”
Laval officially commences his new post on June 26th.
