Marsh Pacific has appointed Maurice Gatto as Head of Global Placement, the company announced on LinkedIn on Friday.
Gatto brings nearly 30 years of broking and insurance market experience to the role, where he will lead placement strategy across the region. His focus will include expanding capacity access, refining program design and delivering integrated placement solutions for clients.
Before joining Marsh Pacific, Gatto held senior positions at Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT) Australia, where he worked in the national placement team and managed major trading partner relationships. He also spent 19 years at Willis Australasia as Head of Broking Services, overseeing analytics, risk engineering, placement, carrier management and claims.
“It’s an absolute privilege to lead such a skilled and talented Placement team in the region, that consistently strives to deliver outstanding client results across all segments,” Gatto said.
The appointment continues Marsh’s expansion of senior leadership in the Pacific region. Earlier this week, the company appointed Scott Eccleston as Head of Risk Management for Marsh Pacific, with Eccleston transitioning from his previous role as Head of Global Placement for the Pacific region. On Wednesday, the business also named Dale Williams as Corporate & Commercial Leader for Marsh Asia.
