Allianz Commercial has announced key changes to its board structure, the business announced on Thursday, 23 October.
As part of the changes, Christian Sandric will assume the role of President, Commercial for Asia Pacific, based in Singapore. Sandric, who currently serves as Allianz Commercial’s Regional Managing Director for Asia, has also previously served at AIG across Singapore and Japan.
Alongside Sandric, Allianz Commercial named its Global Head of Distribution Jeremy Sharpe as Chief Distribution Officer. In his new remit, Sharpe will be responsible for client and broker management, sales, marketing, and distribution strategy.
Meanwhile, board members for the United Kingdom and EMEA will be overseen by Thomas Lillelund on an interim basis. He will coordinate directly with both Sharpe and Thomas Sepp, Chief Claims Officer.
This move comes with the business having made a number of moves across the APAC region in recent months, including key appointments such as Brian Jinzenji as President for Japan, Alex Shi as the new Regional Head of Liability for Asia, and Nagalaxmi Shetty as Chief Compliance Officer in India.
In June, the business announced it would broaden its reach in the marine liability market through the appointment of Hydor as its MGA for the segment, while the global business launched a new climate resilience platform in July to help businesses evaluate and manage the impact of climate-related risks on their operations and assets.
