Global reinsurer Swiss Re has appointed Alan Wilson as a Member of the Board of Directors for Swiss Re Asia Pte. Ltd. (SRAL).
Wilson has 45 years of industry experience under his belt, including 40 years in Asia, and most recently held a Non-Executive Director position on the board of Singapore’s MSIG Asia Pte Ltd. He joined MSIG group in 2008 and served as Chief Executive Officer for 14 years.
During his career, Wilson has been given the honour of being the first foreign executive officer at Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance (Japan). He also served as Chairperson and/or Director of the Boards or acted in equivalent roles for 20 MSIG-related entities in the region.

“He brings insightful perspectives grounded in strong insurance experience and deep knowledge of Asia to our growth across the region.”
Prior to his time as MSIG, Wilson has also held leadership and executive roles in numerous international insurance groups, including Allianz and Parkway Group.
