Allianz Commercial has appointed Anish Chandran as head of financial lines, Southeast Asia, effective 9 February 2026, the insurer announced on Monday.
Singapore-based Chandran joins Allianz after nearly 10 years with AIG, where he held a number of financial lines roles, including most recently as head of financial lines for Singapore.
“Anish’s business acumen, technical expertise, and industry reputation will contribute significantly to our efforts in expanding our presence in the market,” said Josephine Tam, regional head of financial lines and cyber for Allianz Commercial, Asia.
Chandran’s appointment follows several notable Allianz Commercial hires in Asia, and within Japan, in particular, where Casey Sandler was named as head of distribution and Yoshio Motohashi as senior underwriter and general manager for liability management for Japan.
