Allianz Trade in Asia Pacific has appointed Hassan Omaish as CEO for Hong Kong, South Korea and Taiwan (collectively Hong Kong Hub), effective October 1, the group announced in a press release.
Omaish will return to Hong Kong from Paris, where he served as Global Head of Broker Management and Partnerships at the company’s headquarters. He will succeed Edmond Lee, who is retiring after 12 years with the company.
His previous positions include Commercial Director for ASEAN countries and Hong Kong Hub, and Country Manager of Malaysia. He has also held senior leadership roles across the Gulf Cooperation Council region.
“His international exposure, relationships with brokers and partners as well as track record in shaping strategies and driving growth will make him a great addition to our team,” said Rodrigo Jimenez, Regional CEO at Allianz Trade in Asia Pacific.

The appointment continues Allianz Trade’s regional expansion efforts, following the recent naming of Tetsushi Kitano as Country Manager for Thailand and the promotion of Ivy Wanda Sthefvanie to Commercial Manager in Indonesia.
