Allianz Trade has appointed Tian (Bruce) Lan as commercial director for China, effective 9 May, according to a LinkedIn post by the company on Thursday.
Lan has been with Allianz since 2016, most recently serving as regional sales manager for multinationals in APAC.
He has over 20 years of industry experience, specialising in credit risk management and commercial leadership. Prior to joining Allianz, he held senior roles at firms such as CM Houlders Insurance Brokers, Atradius, and Coface.
Commenting on his promotion, Lan noted: “As Chinese enterprises continue to navigate an increasingly complex global trade environment, our focus will be on strengthening commercial capabilities, deepening client partnerships, and delivering solutions that support sustainable and resilient growth.”
The appointment comes amid a wider run of recent senior hires and promotions across Allianz entities in the region, including Allianz Global Investors naming Julie Koo as head of distribution for Asia-Pacific, Allianz Jio Re naming Sonia Rawal as chief executive, and Allianz Trade promoting Sandy Liu to regional head of its China desk.
