Andrew George has been appointed as President of Marsh Specialty, effective immediately, the business announced in a media release. George, who first joined Marsh in 1988, will report to Martin South, President and CEO of Marsh.
Operating from London, he will oversee Marsh’s global specialty business, which encompasses practices such as Aviation, Climate & Sustainability, Construction, Credit Specialties, Energy & Power, Financial and Professional Lines, Cyber, Marine & Cargo, and Private Equity, Mergers and Acquisitions (PEMA).
“Andrew’s appointment is a testament to the incredible specialty talent and expertise that exists within our global organisation,” South said. He added that George’s “engaging leadership and exceptional experience” will help drive outcomes for Marsh and Marsh McLennan’s clients in “today’s rapidly evolving global risk environment.”
George’s previous roles at Marsh include key roles in its Energy Practice, including Head of the Middle East and North Africa, CEO for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and Global Chairman.
