Aon has named George Attard as global head of analytics for its reinsurance solutions business, the global broker announced on Thursday.
Attard, formerly Aon’s head of reinsurance for Asia Pacific, will assume the new role alongside his current position as chief strategy officer for reinsurance solutions, a position he assumed in 2025.
In his expanded role, Attard will lead more than 1,000 reinsurance analytics staff to “accelerate the development and utilisation of Aon’s reinsurance analytics capabilities to help insurers navigate volatility, optimise capital, and make better decisions,” Aon said in a statement.
“As we continue to invest in the next generation of analytics, George’s leadership will help us bring the full strength of Aon to our clients to manage even the most complex of exposures” said Andy Marcell, CEO of global solutions for Aon. “George brings a combination of strategic vision, deep actuarial expertise, and a practical understanding of what our clients need in the evolving risk landscape.”
Paul Shedden will remain global head of advanced risk analytics for all Aon solution lines, working closely with Attard.
In 2025, Aon launched its risk analytics platform, which gives clients access to hazard, exposure, and loss data through a single interface. The broker said it is also continuing to develop new underwriting and portfolio analytics tools.
