Aon has announced the appointment of Jon Pipe as Head of Commercial Risk, Asia, effective from November 2024. Pipe has been with Aon for over 20 years, starting his career in the UK and working in various countries in Asia since 2010.
Since April 2019, Pipe has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Aon India Insurance Brokers. As part of his new role, he will relocate to Singapore in early 2025.
“We are delighted to announce that Aon has selected Jon Pipe as the Head of Commercial Risk, Asia with effect from November 2024,” Aon stated on LinkedIn. “Working with local, regional, and global teams, Jon will be responsible for driving growth across Commercial Risk in Asia, defining our insurer engagement strategy to deliver strong outcomes for clients, and overseeing our broking strategy across the region,” the broker added.
Pipe moved to Asia from the UK in 2010 as Associate Director for Marine, based in Hong Kong. He became Regional Director for Marine in 2013, and later served as Head of Specialty & Technical Advisor at Aon Indonesia from 2016 to 2019.
