Arch Insurance Australia has appointed Carey Sturgiss as Senior Underwriter, Professional Indemnity, for the Southern Region, the business announced in a statement.
Sturgiss has over two decades of experience in financial lines, specialising in professional risks, including cyber. She joins Arch from Chubb Insurance, where she held the role of Senior Underwriter.
Based in Melbourne, Sturgiss will focus on main areas of the professional indemnity portfolio, addressing risks in the construction, architecture and engineering, legal, and financial sectors, Arch said. She reports to Aisling Hegarty, Southern Region Underwriting Manager, Professional Indemnity.
“With a wealth of experience and a strong reputation in the market, Carey brings exceptional expertise that will further strengthen our underwriting capabilities,” Hegarty said.
