Arch Insurance Australia (Arch) has announced the appointment of Alex Mackinnon as Northern Region Executive Assurance Underwriting Manager, effective immediately.
Mackinnon joins Arch after three years with AIG Australia, serving most recently as Management Liability Practice Lead. Based in Sydney, Mackinnon will report to Louise Lumley, Executive Assurance Underwriting Manager.
In his new role, Mackinnon will lead the growth of Arch’s Executive Assurance portfolio across the Northern Region, which includes New South Wales, Queensland, and the Australian Capital Territory, the business said in a statement.
Mackinnon brings extensive underwriting expertise in management liability and financial lines to his new role. Prior to his tenure at AIG Australia, Mackinnon held various underwriting roles at DUAL Australia Pty Ltd and Integro Insurance Brokers.
Commenting on the appointment, Lumley said, “We are delighted to welcome Alex to the Executive Assurance team. His depth of broker relationships will help to further strengthen our service offering and ability to provide solutions for the evolving needs of our mutual clients.
